We've had happier Christmases before. A blue Christmas, indeed.
But, what's done is done and we have better days to look forward to. Guus Hiddink seems like a man with a plan, or at least a general idea, even if it's not that unique or different from how Mourinho may have done it, of how to go about rescuing the season. (Some of) the players have picked up their game recently, and results are slowly improving. That we can still beat a team in the bottom 3 at least should mean that we won't get relegated, right?
See? Positives!
Add in a bit of Christmas merriment, a few presents, some eggnog, good food, and great company and things can start looking up. Hiddink's arrival wipes many a slate clean, both behind the scenes and in the media. Perhaps we can concentrate on football for a little bit, too, as the busy festive period begins.
And here's yet another Christmas miracle: a video longer than 30 seconds from Chelsea TV's YouTube channel! Admittedly, these have become a bit more common recently, but the fact is still worth celebrating.
Also, the video is quite cheerful.
Merry Christmas!
