The relationship between Cesc Fabreras and Jose Mourinho has always been up for debate. The rumors and gossip have tried to shine a negative light on their interactions as player and manager. There were even false reports that popped up about Fabregas leading some kind of player rebellion against Jose. The truth is, we don't really know what their actual relationship behind closed doors was like.
So, when Mourinho parted ways with the club today it was always going to be interesting to see how his players, specifically a player like Fabregas, would react to the news.
Sorry to disappoint all the tabloids, but Cesc was nothing but sympathetic and complimentary of the departed manager on his most recent Instagram post following his dismissal.
