Radamel Falcao's time in the Premier League hasn't gone like he'd have hoped. Last season he struggled at Manchester United, and this season his spell with Chelsea hasn't gone much better. Come January it could be time for him to find another club both for his and the club's sake.
One club is reportedly ready to offer him a way out of Stamford Bridge. Serie A giants Inter Milan want to bring in the Colombian on loan according to the Daily Mail, but with one big caveat.
Falcao would have to take a cut in his £145,000-per-week wages for Inter to consider bringing the striker aboard during the next transfer window.
While offloading the player would be beneficial to Chelsea's wage load, this move doesn't seem to quite add up. Inter are not participating in the Europa League or Champions League this season and already have Stevan Jovetic, Mauro Icardi, and Rodrigo Palacio on their books. The club sits in second place in Serie A currently, and while they could always use more attacking firepower, surely the funds needed to acquire Falcao could be better spent elsewhere.
With one goal in eight appearances in the Premier League this season, the striker hasn't exactly lived up to the expectations bestowed upon him on his arrival at the club. Perhaps Chelsea will look to get him off their books in January, but sacrifices will need to be made for that to happen.
