Didier Drogba's leg lock is the internet's hottest new sensation

Our man Didier Drogba is absolutely killing it with the Montreal Impact. He single-handedly carried his new club to the playoffs. The club won their conference semifinal first leg against the Columbus Crew last night, but all of the talk surrounding the events of the match were not about the goals.

In a bizarre moment in the second half, Drogba pressured Columbus goalkeeper Steve Clark and went in for a tackle. Didier missed the ball and caught the keeper from behind. While on the ground, he inexplicably grabbed Clark's leg and would not let go. Here's a video of the incident:

He received a yellow card for his actions. Once Twitter noticed this outrageous play, the "memes" started to roll in. It even spawned it's own hashtag (#DrogbaLeglock). Here are the best ones we saw:

Remember that time Arjen Robben drew a late penalty against Mexico in the World Cup? People say he dove, but now the truth has finally come out.

He cost the Tennessee Titans the 1999 Super Bowl. Shameful, Didi...

He even tried to help the Monstars beat Michael Jordan's Toon Squad.

I'm not even sure what this is, but it's hilarious.

That time Steven Gerrard slipped and cost Liverpool the Premier League title ... Drogba's fault.

That other time when Lionel Messi broke Jerome Boateng's ankles and embarrassed him in front of the world ... DROGBA!!!

Even with all of the rumors and speculation surrounding Jose Mourinho's future at Chelsea, there's at least one person who doesn't want to let him go. Good ole, Didier.
