Chelsea win award for being Chelsea being awesome

This one probably won't go into the trophy cabinet.  Maybe we'll have a framed certificate of it hanging on the wall?  Perhaps next to Jose Mourinho's Guinness Book of Records accomplishments?  Seems like a decent enough to place to hang an award given to Chelsea for simply being Chelsea.  (The awesome version of Chelsea, not this unrecognizable, struggling bunch in front of us lately.)

Apparently our final match of the Asia-Australia post-season tour last summer was recently voted 'Australia's Best Sporting Event for 2015'.  Hurray!  I certainly remember the occasion carrying with quite a bit of spectacle — including Sydney turning its downtown blue — but I wouldn't have expected it to garner such recognition, even if it was Chelsea's first visit down under in four decades.

"Chelsea FC is honoured and delighted that our match versus Sydney FC at ANZ Stadium has been recognised as the Best Sporting Event of 2015."

"This award is a consequence of the tremendous work put in by all of the staff at ANZ Stadium to stage the event and the amazing passion of the 83,598 fans who turned up on the night to cheer on the Premier League champions. We look forward to visiting the wonderful city and people of Sydney again."

Good job, fans in Australia!  You've secured a future visit, exact date to be decided sometime in the next 40 years presumably!

Last summer's match featured one lonely goal, from backup striker Loïc Rémy.  Here's that and other highlights of this memorable and momentous (apparently) night.
