Jose Mourinho angry with League Managers Association — report

Following multiple fines over the past three months and even a stadium ban due to his (non-public) ranting at the referee in the half-time tunnel of Chelsea's game against West Ham, José Mourinho has put himself in the line of fire of the public and pundits alike, with only a few coming out to publicly to defend the manager. Said lack of support from his peers also triggered Mourinho's anger towards the League Managers Association, according to Darren Lewis of the Daily Mirror.

The report claims that Mourinho wants to "reduce" his support for the managers union — it's not clear at all what such a move would entail — as he feels that the LMA show up only when managers are dismissed from their clubs, such as when Brendan Rodgers was let go from Liverpool a month ago, instead of when other injustices are meted out, such as a stadium ban for saying a few words.  Mourinho is the first ever manager in the Premier League to receive a stadium ban for criticizing referees, the first ever to receive a stadium ban for something done away from the media and the TV cameras, and only the second ever to receive such punishment after Alan Pardew got one during his Newcastle tenure.  Of course he had to have a physical altercation (headbutting, if you want to call this, that) a Hull City player in the 2013-14 season.

Mourinho's ban also sets a precedent and a rather well-founded worry for future proceedings by The FA — quis custodiet ipsos custodes? — and it is rather baffling that the organization charged with protecting managers' "rights", so to speak, have maintained complete silence on this issue.  Of course, while Mourinho's complaints actually hold plenty of legitimacy in this case, they most likely won't be listened to and will be dismissed (by fans, media, and probably the people in charge of administering the game in England) simply as more moaning from Mourinho.
