Fabregas reveals Guardiola's future plans, Mourinho's present state of mind

"But I'm not a rat, Agent Kujan."  And with that, he walked out of the room, never to be heard from again.  Except in Cesc Fàbregas's case, denying that he's the chief mutineer and the chief leaker of inside information from the Chelsea clubhouse apparently has to happen more than once to actually convince people of his innocence.

"No. Mourinho trusts us and we trust him. Obviously it is a lie [that I led a mutiny against Mourinho]. I backed him in a very difficult time. My relationship with Mourinho is good, as always, but when things aren't going well people are always looking for something.

"We're not doing well in the league at the moment. Last year we lost four games all season and this season we have lost seven already. But Mourinho is a winner, when he loses he goes home p****d off like I do."

"The results at Chelsea aren't what we would want and don't reflect the level of our play. I feel good in myself, but when the results aren't coming everything is negative and everything looks bad."

Alternatively, things look bad because they are bad.  Perhaps even bad enough that Mourinho will get sacked because once all other possibilities and potential solutions are exhausted, no other alternative remains.

Fabregas has obviously heard the rumors as well, and he does confirm in another interview that Pep Guardiola does have designs on eventually managing in the Premier League.  (But probably not yet, given his rumored world record £17m-per-year contract extension at Bayern.)

"I have no doubt that Pep will test himself in the Premier League one day. I have spoken to him in the past and I know that he likes it a lot."

In this second interview, Cesc also talks about the upcoming Clasico between Real Madrid and Barcelona and, of course, about turning the season around in the increasingly physical Premier League.
