We have to go back to the dark days of Interim management to find such low ratings.  In fact, we almost set a record with the team average of 3.96.  In the 3+ year history of the WAGNH community ratings, only the 1-0 loss away to Steaua Bucharest (3.83) in the Europa League brought about greater cries of numerical anguish.  So much sub-4s!  So much red...

Meanwhile, Willian wins back-to-back Man of the Match awards by scoring yet another free kick.   Our last three goals scored have all come from Willian free kicks.  Four in four consecutive appearances.  That has to be some sort of record, no?

For the record, at least according to Mourinho, Willian was vomiting at half-time, presumably due to some sort of illness.  No further detail has been provided, but the manager claims this was the motivation behind Willian's early withdrawal in the second half.

2. ASMIR BEGOVIĆ - GK 6.2

After that Steaua loss, people were so disillusioned, even the mighty Petr Cech only managed a 5.1.  Y'all were a bit more kind to Asmir, who's now taken over as the highest rated player on the season.

Here's the top 5, minimum 4 starts:  Begovic, Courtois (6.9); Oscar (6.6); Azpilicueta (6.4); Zouma, Costa, Willian (6.3).  Note absence of Hazard, Matic, Cesc, et al.  Not good.

3. CÉSAR AZPILICUETA - DL 5.3

Ignoring the unavailable Diego Costa, the top three today is the same as in the match against FC Porto.  Willian, Begovic, Azpilicueta.  And Costa.  The only players who seem to be fighting the ever-rising tide of extreme craptitutde emanating from the rest of the squad.

Stay strong, you beautiful four, you.  The rest can't stay this bad forever!

Can they?
