A man who's not averse to wild and sensationalist claims wants Jose Mourinho to come manage AS Monaco if when the Chelsea manager gets the heave-ho from Abramovich in the next few days.  Or hours.  Or perhaps just minutes.  SOON.

"Last Saturday night we've had our first contact with José Mourinho to see if he could take over AS Monaco.

"However, it's too soon to say but we are convinced that Mourinho could train Monaco in the short-term."

-Alessandro Proto; source: SPORT

Monaco are owned by Russian billionare Dmitry Rybolovlev (2/3rd-owner) and Monaco's House of Grimaldi (1/3rd-owner) but somehow Proto, an Italian multimillionaire, figures in as a "shareholder" with access to insider information.  Recent rumors around the Chelsea managerial position (both outgoing and incoming) have included plenty of talk about third-party intermediaries, so perhaps he's one of these mysterious, shadowy figures.  Or maybe he's just having delusions of grandeur, like when he claimed that author E.L. James based the character Christian Grey on him.

No doubt Proto was heartened to see Chelsea's elimination from the League Cup on Tuesday, moving him one step closer to his dream of watching The Special One order around Monaco's players.
