Jose Mourinho kept faith in the exact same starting lineup as midweek against Dynamo Kiev.  Unlike Nemanja Matic, who went from highest (8.0) to lowest (2.9) rated in the space of a few days, Willian has kept up his good form, winning his fourth Man of the Match in the last five games.

While I don't think the others were all that bad and the team played quite well at times, it's nice to see Willian stepping up and putting in good performance after good performance.  Unfortunately, unlike Hazard or Mata of teams past, he cannot do it by himself and his supporting cast keeps letting him down at crucial moments.

2. GARY CAHILL - DC 6.7

Gary Cahill scored his first goal of the season — the 14th of his nearly 4-year Chelsea career.  For a moment, we had hope of great escape and a great comeback.

As we know all too well, it's the hope that kills you.

Cahill leads all center backs in minutes played this season and trails only Azpilicueta, Fabregas, and Hazard in total minutes played in all competitions.

3. MIKEL - MC 5.8

The best of the rest is old solider John Obi Mikel (not really old), barely beating out not quite tall enough Cesar Azpilicueta for the third rung.

While Mikel for Fabregas may have been a weird-looking substitution down to 10 men and looking for a goal and a comeback, the nine-year Chelsea veteran's presence in the middle actually did a good job in allowing the team to do just that.  Carroll's late goal unfortunately ruined the party, but Saturday was another reminder that while Mikel will not gather too many awards for being the flashiest or loudest midfielder, he can always be relied on to do the job asked of him.

STARTERS:
Begović (5.6), Azpilicueta (5.8), Terry (5.4), Cahill (6.7), Zouma (5.4), Matic (2.9), Ramires (5.1), Hazard (4.8), Fabregas (4.8), Willian (7.5), Costa (4.9)

SUBS:
Mikel (5.8), Falcao (3.9), Baba (4.5)
