Baba Rahman's season of inaction continues on an international level now as well after he was refused entry to the USA where Ghana will be taking on Canada in a friendly on Tuesday.

...the Chelsea new boy failed to make the trip to Washington [D.C.] for Ghana's friendly international against Canada due to his inability to get a US visa...

Switzerland based Ebenezer Assifuah, Richmond Boakye Yiadom (on loan at Dutch side, Roda JC) and Denmark based Daniel Amartey also suffered similar fates, a situation which has resulted in a complete overhaul of the team due to the unavailability of other key players too due to injury.

"They did not refuse them but (were given) dates after the game," a reliable source in the Black Stars camp in Washington told

Clearly a fantastic job done by the people in charge of ensuring that the players have all their necessary documentation in place well ahead of the match.  Outstanding administrative work.

And so, no playing time with the Black Stars for Baba, which mirrors his situation at Chelsea so far.  On the bright side, assuming that he's stayed at Cobham instead, perhaps this will prove a blessing in disguise in the near future even though I'm sure he's personally disappointed to have been unable to represent his country.  But Jose Mourinho seems to have zero trust in the young left back, so maybe the extra training time with a reduced squad in front of the watchful eyes of the Chelsea manager will help change that relationship.  (Especially if Ivanovic's hamstring injury proves bad enough that the vice-captain would have to miss some games.)
