|1. WILLIAN - AML||7.3|
Going on three years now, we've been yearning for Willian to live up to his transfer fee and match his level of effort and skill with number of goals and assists as well. With 3 goals in 7 starts, he might actually be getting there (though obviously all the goals have come from set pieces). Alas, the sacrifice for this output from the man with the most consistent afro in some time seems to be a crap season for the rest of the players. That's probably not a good trade.
Still, well done Willian. Three straight appearances rated 7.0+, just the second player to accomplish that this season (Oscar was the first, sandwiching his injury). Nobody has done four yet.
|2. DIEGO COSTA - FC||7.2|
Costa is the third person to gather up three straight 7.0+ ratings, though his was interrupted by suspension rather than injury. Still, Costa looked fresh and willing and ready to football not just to battle on Tuesday. He hit the bar, he made great runs, he showed off some skill, he drew fouls, he was a nuisance.
Very nice, overall, from DC-19, though the goals are still lacking.
|3. ASMIR BEGOVIĆ - GK||6.5|
He's no Thibaut Courtois and he's no Petr Cech. But he's also not David Ospina. His name, is
While I've seen people rate Begović anywhere from deceptively bad to deceivingly good, I don't think his place is under any threat from either Jamal Blackman (in whom we seem to have zero trust) or the incoming Marco
