Transfer rumors followed by shirt number rumors! Ain't life grand?
[Juan Cuadrado] has picked his jersey number. [...] He has decided to wear number 74 since the two numbers add up to 11 which is his favorite number.

He hasn't even passed a medical, but at least we can rest assured that he's got his number picked out.
Of course this doesn't explain why he wouldn't choose a much more "normal" (i.e. traditional) number like 29 (2+9 = 11, I'm pretty sure; last seen on fellow attacking player Samuel Eto'o) or 38 (similarly left-footed Patrick van Aanholt's number) or perhaps even 47 (versatile midfielder Billy Clifford once wore it). Oooh, or 56 (assigned to George Saville once)? 65 (never used)? 110? 5½5½? So many possibilities!
I think it's safe to say that 74 would be the highest official shirt number ever given out by Chelsea. Is this even allowed by Premier League regulations? Oh god, he's already going to get fined by the FA, isn't he? Chelsea DNA: check!
