Speaking of Bowie, after a few clicks on YouTube, I ended up re-watching most of the Freddie Mercury tribute concert, quite possibly the most spectacular concert I've ever seen live (well, on TV, but broadcast live).  Bowie performed, but it was George Michael who stole the show with his spectacular cover of "Somebody To Love:"
