Mohamed Salah was one of Jose Mourinho's answers to a two-goal deficit at White Hart Lane, which left many of wondering which question he was actually asking. It was an un-promising cameo, capped off by a point-blank miss which, if not Torresian, was downright Kalou-like. And, so, as if by magic, the transfer rumours appear.
- According to Gazzetta della Sport, the Egyptian winger is being linked to a loan deal with Inter Milan, which seems slightly unlikely because Roberto Mancini's side are also in the process of picking up Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski.
-
Meanwhile, di Marzio are saying that Napoli are looking at a loan as well -- but they claim that Chelsea won't make a move until they've secured a replacement. They're not naming names on that front, of course.
- And to round out the transfer trifecta, AS are claiming that David Moyes wants the 22-year-old at Real Sociedad.
These links, of course, are highly tentative, but you don't get this sort of coordinated transfer chatter very often without there being something to it. Salah is clearly not doing well at Chelsea, and rather than having that state of affairs continue it might be better for him to move on. But, if that's the case, we'll need some reinforcements. Depth will be critically important during our stretch run.
