We've become quite familiar with the non-homegrown (Premier League) and club/association-trained (Champions League) rules over the last few years, so it should come as no surprise that Mark Schwarzer -- just like Michael Essien last year -- has not been registered for the first six games of our Champions League campaign. The squad registrations can be changed before the knockout rounds begin in February, to account for any movement during the January transfer window.
Since the Premier League has slightly more generous rules and allows for an unlimited number of players aged 21 and under to be registered, Schwarzer does not succumb to a similar fate in the league. There is a similarly unlimited "B List" of players in the Champions League, but since they also have a homegrown requirement (two years) and not just an age requirement, Zouma is ineligible for it.
The squad lists in full are:
PREMIER LEAGUE (20+6):
Homegrown (3): Fabregas, Cahill, Terry
Non-homegrown (17): Cech, Ivanovic, Luis, Ramires, Oscar, Hazard, Drogba, Mikel, Courtois, Schurrle, Salah, Remy, Costa, Matic, Willian, Schwarzer, Azpilicueta
Under-21 (6): Zouma, Ake, Christensen, Boga, Beeney, Baker
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE (20+5):
Club-trained (1): Terry
Association-trained (2): Fabregas, Cahill
Non-homegrown (17): Cech, Ivanovic, Luis, Zouma, Ramires, Oscar, Hazard, Drogba, Mikel, Courtois, Schurrle, Salah, Remy, Costa, Matic, Willian, Azpilicueta
B-list (5): Ake, Christensen, Boga, Beeney, Baker
