Marco Van Ginkel is spending the season on loan in Italy, in large part due to injury. While the Dutch midfielder would have likely stuck around London to be part of Jose Mourinho's squad if roster spaces had not been an issue, the fact that the youngster was still getting back up to speed following a devastating knee injury was probably the biggest reason he was the player encouraged to depart just prior to the transfer deadline.
On Tuesday, Van Ginkel suffered what at first glance looked like a serious ankle injury, and was stretchered off the ptich.

Obviously, we're all hoping that this turns out to be nothing serious, and that Marco is fine with a few days of rest and relaxation. Cross your fingers, boys and girls.
Meanwhile, in that same match, Fernando Torres did something not many of us are used to seeing. He scored, and it was a well taken goal. Enjoy:
