Tonight in further overdue recognition, a Chelsea player's goal has been recognized by the much vaunted institution that is the BBC's Match of the Day as Goal of the Month for August 2014.

This follows the Player of the Month recognition (with a no suspension bonus given despite there being suspension possible) from the Premier League for Diego Costa. Whoa... what's happening around here? I was much more comfortable when we were just universally hated and shunned as all that is evil in football!
So, congrats to our two World Champions (2014 and 2010), who combined to score the best goal in the Premier League in August. Drink it in.
And here's Graham's breakdown of said beauty. You should read it (again), to learn about the role Oscar and Hazard played in it as well, plus marvel at the fact that the entire move involved 25 passes with all but two of the Chelsea eleven getting a touch.
In case you're wondering, Schurrle is the first Chelsea winner of this thing since October 2010, when Alex almost killed Florent Malouda.
