The seven goals and seven wonders of Diego Costa

New, comments

Diego Costa, [clap clap clap clap clap], Diego Costa, [clap clap clap clap clap], Diego Costa, [clap clap clap clap clap], Diego Costa!

Surely, it's the coming of the apocalypse, a Chelsea striker who practically cannot stop scoring at the minute. Like the seven seals and the seven trumpets, the seven goals of Diego Costa surely are a herald of the end-times. So let's enjoy them while we can!

While we can all agree that it's been an incredible start for the oldest looking 25-year-old since Benjamin Button, it's probably good to temper expectations slightly going forward.

"I try to play in the best manner, and hopefully things will continue like this, but there will be a moment when I cannot score. That is football."

[...]

"I am adapting very well, although it's not just me. The key is the group that we have. It is like a family. The squad and all the people around the team are united in our cause."

And you know that Diego will protect his family, whatever it takes.

"I play in the fashion that I have to play. If I have to have a physical battle, then I can fight. If I have to play with quality, I can do that too."

On a related note, Diego Costa will "escape" punishment for the "incident" against Swansea's Gylfi Sigurdsson. How he can "escape" punishment for an offense that's not punishable by a red card is a bit of a mystery, but hey, at least he'll escape it. Here's a Vine of the "incident" in case you need a reminder.
