I don't think there was any doubt that Marco van Ginkel is heading to AC Milan on loan, but here are some quotes from the young Chelsea midfielder just in case:
Van Ginkel: "I'm very happy to be here at Milan. Many Dutch players have played here. I'm happy to finally be here."
— AC Milan News (@Milanello) September 1, 2014
Van Ginkel: "I know @NDJ_Official from the national team, and he has told me many good things about Milan."
— AC Milan News (@Milanello) September 1, 2014
Van Ginkel: "I'm a midfielder that defends, but i also know how to score goals. I'm an all-around player."

Hopefully van Ginkel's all-around game can develop with more playing time in Serie A. Before signing for Chelsea he was one of the top midfielders in the Eredivsie and his knee injury early last season was a major blow to his hopes of immediately establishing himself at Stamford Bridge. A strong showing with the rossoneri will go some way to restoring his reputation. From Milan's perspective, they're getting a very good box-to-box midfielder in a league that's been far too low on overall quality for far too long. Not bad.
