Poll: How would you solve the one extra non-homegrown player issue?

Martin Stoever

There are just a little over 24 hours to go in the summer transfer window, and Chelsea are still looking at a squad numbers problem.  While Fernando Torres has gone, the similarly non-homegrown Loïc Remy has come in, restoring our non-homegrown numbers to 18.  This is one more than we can register for the Premier League and so something has to be done.

I'm sure the club have some solution in mind, but let's talk about what you would do and what you would prefer.

Rumors of Marco van Ginkel going on loan to AC Milan popped up again this morning, despite the player refusing the same move a couple days ago.  Other options could include not registering third goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer, selling Petr Čech (which could also help avoid any awkwardness between Čech and Courtois, and speed along the latter's contract extension), or loaning Mohamed Salah who, just like Van Ginkel, has yet to play a single minute of competitive football this season.

Or perhaps you have a more creative solution?  Let's hear it.
