The last big obstacle in the way of Fernando Torres' move to AC Milan has been removed -- the striker has, according to both the Italian and English press, completed his medical without any problems, and the move will be official soon. Indeed, Torres is acting like it's already official, talking to the club's official channel about how much he's looking forward to the move to Italy:
I cannot wait to start this new adventure. I spoke to the coach yesterday and I am really pleased to work with a coach like him. He was a great goal-scorer and definitely understands what the role of a striker is. I am sure that he can teach me and help me a lot in this adventure.

It would be a privilege to wear the number 9 jersey and to play at the level that everybody expects from me. I thank the fans for the welcome. I am sure that it will all go well. I can promise that I will give 100% and that with their help this experience will be fantastic and for many years I hope.

Can Torres get his groove back in Serie A? Considering that we'll probably never have to come across him in competitive play again (Milan don't look like getting anywhere near the Italian Champions League spots in the near future), I'd like to hope so. Having all three parties in a move happy at the end of it is a good way to ensure that Milan are willing to bail us out again.
Good luck!
