Thibaut Courtois and the art of impossible saves

Julian Finney

Sunday's friendly loss to Werder Breman wasn't exactly a performance to write home about, but Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois made sure he had a highlight-reel moment during his time on the pitch. I'm not going to try to describe it, just watch for yourself:

For me, the best part of this highlight is how he bounces back up just after making the impossible stop in order to have a chance to prevent a follow-up from scoring. I do wish the camera was on the other side of the pitch though, as the look on Marco van Ginkel's face when Courtois did his best impression of Superman.
