Watch 18-year-old Chelsea loanee Joao Rodriguez make his French league debut against PSG

Not unimpressive!

If you're like me and know hardly anything at all about Rodriguez, you may find the above video fairly interesting. Especially that part where he toys with the PSG defenders out on the far touchline. PSG may have won the game, but it's fair to say that young Rodriguez managed himself a decently impressive European debut.

The 18-year-old, fresh out of Colombia, joined Claude Makélélé's SC Bastia just a couple weeks ago but it's a good sign for his future development that he's already getting minutes against some of the French league's best. A further, personally helpful development especially in the short term may be a suspension for Bastia striker Brandão (the man whom Rodriguez replaced on Saturday) that is sure to come after the striker was caught on camera after the game head-butting PSG's Thiago Motta in the tunnel.

Not much doubt about that one! Broken nose and all for Motta and at least a three-game suspension for violent conduct for Brandão. Which could mean more minutes for Joao Rodriguez already. Thanks, Brandão!
