So ends a month or so worth of rumours. Christian Atsu was one of Ghana's top performances during the Black Stars' three games in Brazil, and naturally his play attracted plenty of suitors after they were knocked out. But it's always seemed like Everton who were in the lead for the winger, and now they officially have him on loan for the rest of the season:

Atsu, 22, was signed from Porto last summer before spending the season in Vitesse, where he was one of their standout players. Now he's making a big jump to the Premier League, and we'll get to see just how good he is for ourselves. If he can become a standout performer at this sort of level, he'll go from afterthought to competing with the likes of Mohamed Salah for playing time in 2015/16 very, very quickly.
Good luck at Everton, Christian. Try not to go 'whoa!' when you walk into the locker room, though. It's a bad habit.
