So I'm sure nothing will happen until deadline day.  So soon!

In all seriousness, here are the latest Romelu Lukaku quotes making the media rounds today.  After all those words that have incited heated debates, these ones are downright boring and pedestrian and obvious.  But hey, that's a good thing, right?

"I want to go on holiday first and rest with my parents and then we will see."

"I want to be somewhere where I can play my best football and hopefully win titles. It's up to me to work hard but there are choices to make. Things like that happen in football and I'm confident I will make the right choice. I'm looking at everything but first of all I want to go on holiday and relax a little bit."

"I'm 21 but I think I'm experienced enough now. I've played a lot of games and scored a lot of goals and now I want to win titles and become one of the best. I have a few ideas but we'll see. I have to have discussions first and have to think about it. I want to go home and then I will decide. It will be soon."

Of course with the Telegraph reporting a three-week vacation for the "experienced" Big Rom, this "soon" may not in fact be anytime soon after all!  So much experience, he can hardly make up his mind!  If he's looking for titles though, maybe a peek inside the trophy cabinet at Stamford Bridge could prove helpful (especially as opposed to, say, recently at Everton).

So as we wait for his complete strikeryness to figure out if he's up for the challenge of a Chelsea job while playing second fiddle (at least initially) to Diego Costa, I guess the only question that remains for now is, is he pondering what we're all pondering?

Well, I think so, but a show about two talking lab mice?  That'll never work.
