Isaiah "Izzy" Brown may already be the second-youngest player to ever appear in a Premier League match, but as he tours Europe with Chelsea this summer as a 17-year-old, he is still just living the dream.
"It's been a great experience. It's different to anything I've experienced before. Everyone has helped me settle down. All the players and all the staff have made me feel welcome."
"It's like a dream to be with Chelsea on their pre-season tour. I'm very happy to be here. It's hard to explain just how much you are going to get better as a player and hopefully as a person in general."

My dreams tend to involve copious amounts of tasty beverages and a cool breeze while lying on a beach somewhere in Hawaii; Brown's dreams involve copious amounts of hard work and a great attitude while running around on a pitch with a bunch of top class footballers.
"It was amazing. To score two goals on my first game for the first team, it's something I couldn't have dreamed of. Now I have to keep working hard and hopefully more of that will come."
"I possibly should have scored the chance I had on Wednesday [against WAC] and that is something I can work on in training and see what I could have done differently. I just need to get that experience."
"Getting into the right positions is important: making those forward runs into the box and getting goalscoring chances, that's what the boss has told me to do. I've tried to do that in pre-season."

I suppose that's why he's there, living his dream, and I'm here, not living mine. Gee, thanks for making me depressed, Izzy Brown! (And may we see you get into plenty of "right positions" for the U21s this coming season.)
