Chelsea's travelling squad released by Wednesday's opponents

Ben Hoskins

A good spot from @ChelseaYouth today: It seems the RZ Pellets, the Austrian team Chelsea are set to face on Wednesday as the first opponents in our pre-season tour of Europe, have released the full squad the Blues have taken to the continent. The list (with several amusing mispellings fixed) is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Petr Cech, Matej Delac, Mitchell Beeney, Mark Schwarzer.
Defenders: Filipe Luis, Branislav Ivanovic, Kurt Zouma, Andreas Christensen, John Terry, Gary Cahill, Nathan Ake, Cesar Azpilicueta.
Midfielders: Oriol Romeu, Nemanja Matic, Marco van Ginkel, Nathaniel Chalobah, Cesc Fabregas, Lewis Baker
Forwards: Diego Costa, Fernando Torres, Jeremie Boga, Izzy Brown, Dom Solanke, Mohamed Salah, John Swift, Patrick Bamford.

No surprises here except, perhaps, for the fact that Lucas Piazon, who started the 5-0 win against Wycombe Wanderers but was left out of the Wimbledon squad entirely, didn't make the cut. Of note is the fact that the expected first-choice defensive line is back together, and we'll also get a chance to see how the potential pivot pairing of Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic do together.

Update: Chelsea have confirmed the squad.
