Filipe Luis's first words after Chelsea announced that they've reached an agreement for the 28-year-old left back's transfer with Atletico Madrid strike all the right notes.
"I have always liked Chelsea a lot. I watch a lot of the Premier League and it is a club where you can feel the warmth of the fans."
"When we played there in the Champions League I felt comfortable in their stadium and when the offer came I thought it was the ideal team for me to play for in England."

Technically, personal terms must still be agreed, but if those words are coming from the heart rather than the script book, then they should be just a formality.
It also sounds like he's got the winning attitude needed to achieve our goals for this season and beyond.
"A change of team gives new hunger and ambition, and I was worried about being too comfortable [at Atletico]. A footballer's career is very short and I want to finish it in a strong and spectacular way."

No doubt Mourinho smiled when he heard those words. You've come to the right place, Filipe.
NB. The transfer fee reported in the Mail's story is £20m but everything up to this point has been talked about as "rising to £20m," and I don't see why we would've changed our stance on that. In any case, should we indeed fulfill all his and our ambitions, those extra bonuses to round up the fee to £20m will be chump change.
