BT Sport are celebrating the start of their second year of existence and second season of Premier League coverage with a series of slick, subversive, stupendous adverts.
While BT Sport carry only 38 Premier League matches in any given season, they've managed hit gold with quite a few of them, including the rather historic 6-0 demolition of Arsenal by Chelsea in Arsene Wenger's 1000th match in charge of the Gunners. And the 5-1 demolition of Arsenal by Liverpool, and the 6-3 demolition of Arsenal by Manchester City. I sense a pattern emerging here...
And I'm not the only one, as the brilliant advertising minds at the channel have utilized this font of embarrassment and spectacle to promote the channel's coverage of the Premier League for the 2014-15 season. With a few choice cameos (hello new BT Sport pundit Jose Mourinho) and an electrifying soundtrack (A Tribe Called Red: Electric Pow Wow Drum), these things are quickly achieving social media legend status.
Here's the Liverpool 5-1 Arsenal one:
And for good measure, the more generic one that features Jose a bit more as well:
