Nice to see a bit of genuine excitement. Also, just how big is this kid? Wikipedia claims 190cm, but holy man mountain! He looks bigger than that on video.
(And check out this photo of him and Nemanja Matic. The angles may be playing tricks, but he looks twice the SPIDERBEAST's size! Matic also needs to stop skipping leg day.)
Taking a page out of Marco van Ginkel's book, Zouma talks about the big pitch at Cobham and meeting both Jose Mourinho and John Terry for the first time. You'd be excited, too!
While the 19-year-old has been linked with a loan to Sunderland and perhaps even teams in France and Italy, there may still be a chance he hangs around the Chelsea first-team instead. As of right now, we can count with only four starter-quality players for the four positions along the back line. Filipe Luis would make five, but that would leave more than enough room for a youngster or two to serve as backups and spot starters. With Tomas Kalas already loaned out and Kenneth Omeruo likely to follow, Zouma could yet make a claim on one of those free spots.
In any case, welcome to the club, finally, Kurt Zouma. Take it easy on Even Cahill, would ya? He tries ever so hard.
