The Daily Hilario: T-minus one day

Your daily dose of off-topic shenanigans. Where have all the good movies gone?

Where are you BEATS, Neymar?

Somehow, yesterday turned into bad movie day.

First, I went to finally see the new X-Men movie.  Bleh.  Predictable, often boring.  Couldn't stand McAvoy and I normally like him.  Quicksilver's sequence was fun and well made though.  92% on RT and 8.5 on IMDB?  I'm missing something.  Good thing there's another sequel on the way.

Then, I finally watched The Purge.  I remember seeing the trailer and thinking that it was a potentially cool premise, as long as they don't mess it up by making a straight slasher flick.  Well, they messed it up.  Big time.  One of the worst movies I've seen in some time.  Characters constantly make stupid, contradictory decisions.  None of the characters are likable.  Nothing makes sense.  Ugh.

Quick, somebody give me a good movie to watch!

I mean it looks cool, but isn't part of Zelda's appeal that it's not an unlimited Skyrim-type game?  It needs some rails.
