Islam Feruz apparently earmarked for Championship loan

More loan news rumors to keep the Tomas Kalas loan news rumors company.

Sky Sports understands Chelsea are ready to send highly-rated starlet Islam Feruz out on loan next season.

Unsurprising.  Expected.

The news has alerted a host of Championship clubs to Feruz's availability on loan, with the likes of Cardiff, Derby, Reading and Brighton all thought to be keeping tabs on the forward's situation.

A couple interesting names in there, most especially Cardiff City.  They averaged less than a goal-per-game on their way to finishing last in the Premier League, and with hometown hero Craig Bellamy set to retire, Feruz could fill that vacancy quite capably.  (Although it looks like Cardiff have already been quite active in the market to try to solve that problem.)

The other three teams all finished near the top of the Championship table last season, so there's plenty of ambition involved with any of the proposed destinations.  Derby County could carry some extra good vibes following the success of Patrick Bamford.

Either way, it looks like we'll probably have (at least one) team to keep an eye on in the Championship once again next season.
