If Chelsea want to end their season on a high in Wales, they'll have to do so without the services of Frank Lampard, John Terry and Samuel Eto'o (and Petr Cech, too). In his Friday press conference, the manager ruled the veteran trio out of the trip to Cardiff, claiming that Terry and Eto'o have picked up injuries while Frank Lampard is sick:
Frank Lampard is ill, he's in bed. If today Frank is in bed I don't think he will come tomorrow with conditions to travel. Samuel Eto'o got an injury in training today and John Terry got a little thing yesterday. Normally all of them will be out.

Since it's the final game of a Premier League season we can no longer win -- and as Mourinho points out, that we entered last weekend with a chance at the title represents a major step forward, even if this campaign has been an extended metaphor for Salomon Kalou's career -- it's not a big deal to be missing players, and we should have enough firepower to beat already-relegated Cardiff, away or not. The big question is who gets the armband with all three of Terry, Lampard and Cech out. Cahill? Ivanovic? David Luiz?
