With Chelsea having played their final home match of the 2013/14 season, things are getting a little bit... emotional. A trio of long-term players are on the verge of being out of contract, and many believe that this could be the end of the line for Ashley Cole and Frank Lampard (John Terry has more of a shot of staying on than the other two). Cole in particular was extremely emotional during the post-match lap of honour, breaking out in tears as he walked across the Stamford Bridge pitch for what could be the final time.
But this isn't necessarily the end, and Jose Mourinho seems optimistic about bringing them back.
[Are Cole, Terry and Lampard coming back?] I think so. But they are [going to speak] with the club. Now is the time to wait a little bit. It is a long summer for us as a club and there is a long time to discuss and analyse options.

It would have been good of Chelsea to resolve the situation (and let the fans know) before this game so that we'd know one way or the other -- if this does turn out to be anyone's last game it would have been nice for the home crowd to be able to say goodbye properly.
