Romelu Lukaku wasn't the only Chelsea player who did some impressive things for his national side on Monday. Lewis Baker saw action in under-19 European Championships qualifying, where England were matched up with Scotland. And, Baker aside, the young Lions weren't doing too well -- the team was down 1-0 to a 51st-minute John Souttar goal before Baker came up big with a brace.
Here are the full highlights:
Baker's first goal was nicely taken after a goalmouth scramble sparked by him hitting the bar with a looping header, and the second was a very tidy finish from a Ruben Loftus-Cheek through ball to give England the lead and, ultimately, the win.
Baker, Chelsea's Young Player of the Season, has been outstanding all year, and it's nice to see him keep his goalscoring exploits up with the national team. You have to wonder whether or not he'll get a long look from Jose Mourinho this summer -- it'd be hard to say he doesn't deserve it.
