And here I thought it might be all boring all the time until the World Cup. After Solanke's heroics yesterday, today we get to witness hopefully similar exploits form the likes of Lucas Piazon, Josh McEachran, and Nathaniel Chalobah - all of whom are involved in this fancy Toulon Tournament thing happening in the south of France. I don't think I've ever seen a single match from this thing - though they claim that 80 players who had once played for their respective national sides at this tournament will play in this year's World Cup - but this year at least beIN is showing it here in the states, so I might as well check it out.
If for no other reason than to wash the bad taste of the Blackhawks' game 2 defeat out of my mouth. What the... fuck... was that third period all about, boys? Disaster.

Science, bitch! Seriously though, for 38 minutes, the Hawks dominated this game. Quick pulled off minor miracles and when he didn't, some physics BS like in the link above happened. And then the Kings got a lucky goal and suddenly everything collapsed. I'm not sure whether to be mad or just shake my head and thank my lucky stars that I didn't get hit by a unicorn reversing in a spaceship on the freeway.
