Cardiff City vs. Chelsea: Second Half Thread

David Rogers

Chelsea started well, and so far the whole half has been basically one-way traffic towards Cardiff's goal.  Yet, it is the hosts who lead, through a massively deflected shot from Craig Bellamy.

Oh, football.

Oscar could've (should've?) had a penalty in the second minute.  Torres should've scored a few minutes later - he only had the open goal to aim at and still picked out Steven Caulker's big toe.  Oscar missed an easy chance as well.  Salah, Hazard have had looks, too, but no luck so far.  Salah in particular has been wasteful.  Chelsea DNA!

So that's all a bit disappointing, though in the grand scheme of things, this game matters not at all.  The effort, in general, would not look out of place in a pre-season/post-season friendly.  Which is a bit of a shame.  But there are 45 minutes to make it better, so let's do that.
