Saturday night is/was the long-awaited home opener for Sacramento Republic FC, the expansion team in USL Pro, with hopes of one day being awarded an MLS franchise.  The home opener is supposedly sold out, 20,000 strong.  I look forward to being their casual fan for as long as I live in this terrible city and/or associated suburbia.
