PSG vs. Chelsea, Champions League: Lineups & Game Thread

Dominique Charriau

"I have watched many Paris matches and I think Laurent has a clear philosophy. The way they play is the way they play. Even against Bayer Leverkusen in the second leg when they changed all three midfield players their philosophy was the same, the positional play was the same and this is a very good quality for a team. They have an idea and they go with their idea. We are the same. We are going to play the way we are training and playing and we also believe in what we do."

PSG starting lineup (4-3-3):
Salvatore Sirigu | Maxwell, Alex, Thiago Silva, Christophe Jallet | Blaise Matuidi, Thiago Motta, Marco Verratti | Ezequiel Lavezzi, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Edinson Cavani

Substitutes from: Nicolas Douchez, Marquinhos, Lucas Digne, Yohan Cabaye, Adrien Rabiot, Javier Pastore, Lucas Moura

Chelsea starting lineup (4-2-3-1):
Petr Cech | Cesar Azpilicueta, John Terry, Gary Cahill, Branislav Ivanovic | David Luiz, Ramires | Eden Hazard, Oscar, Willian | André Schürrle

Substitutes from: Mark Schwarzer, Nathan Ake, Tomas Kalas, Frank Lampard, Mikel, Fernando Torres, Demba Ba

You might say that Chelsea playing Schurrle up top is the only real surprise, but even that should've been expected considering the state of our striker corps.  A midfield of Ramires and David Luiz should keep things... umm... interesting.

Petr Cech makes his 100th European appearance for Chelsea tonight.
