Ok, it's not quite time to panic. But just in case, please make any necessary preparations to panic should Saturday arrive without a fully healthy Eden Hazard.
"Eden was knocked with virtually his first touch immediately after coming on... His stocking was broken and his ankle was swollen. Such things happen in top-level football."
-Marc Wilmots; source: HLN via 101 Great Goals
Should an angry horde of feral vampiric goats rampage through your house in the next 24-48 hours, Mr. Wilmots, I do not want you to be concerned; such things happen in top-level football. You too, Mr. Cheick Tioté with your broken targeting computer (ball; not ankle!); you too. Such things happen.
While Eden thinks he will be ready for Tottenham on Saturday, last time I checked he's not a qualified medical professional. Not to mention, if the swelling lingers or, once subsided, reveals further injury, Hazard's effectiveness will be, at best, compromised. And just when he was ready to put his four-match mini slump behind him with that second half showing at Fulham...
Thanks again, FIFA!
