Mourinho set to play FA Wheel of Fortune after requesting a 'personal hearing'

In case you missed it on Friday (and the FanShot posted earlier as well), Jose promised the world at large that he would fight the good fight and deny the FA's improper conduct charges as a matter of principle. He had until 6pm on Monday to respond. And what prize did the latest contestant at the FA's Wheel of Mis-fortune choose?

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has requested a personal Football Association hearing and denied an improper conduct charge levelled at him following his dismissal in the controversial loss at Aston Villa earlier this month.

He chose door number three: a personal hearing in front of a "Regulatory Commission," whatever that may mean. The FA Handbook spends several pages discussing the schedule for the type of misconduct with which they charged the Chelsea manager, but I was unable to glean any clue as to who all may be part of the Shadow Proclamation now tasked with playing King Solomon to the FA's Queen Sheba.

In any case, sometime in the next ten or so days, Mourinho will sit down face-to-face with his accusers and some "impartial" judges and thus shall commence a most epic Feats of Strengths. Round 1: Patty-cake. Round 2: Arm wrestling. Round 3: Dance-off. To the winner: the spoils. To the loser: an even heftier fine.

Good luck, Boss.
