This week will see all of the other title contenders make up some of the games in hand they have on Chelsea, while the Blues will simply be sitting back and hoping for results to go their way. On Tuesday, one result went very well for Jose Mourinho's side, while the other couldn't have gone much worse.
Manchester City thoroughly outplayed David Moyes and his Manchester United side, taking the lead less than a minute in and never looking back. Any hopes that Juan Mata would end up nicking points off of our top rivals can be laid to rest now, as the Spaniard was mostly awful, and the result was never really in doubt.
The other match went slightly better for Chelsea, with relegation-threatened Swansea outplaying Arsenal for the first 70 minutes of that tie. Arsenal then managed to take a 2-1 lead with a pair of goals in just over a minute, but a Mathieu Flamini own goal effectively put the Gunners' title hopes to bed.
Chelsea still remain three points clear at the top of the table, though second-place City still have a pair of games in hand in addition to the tiebreaker. Liverpool also have the chance to move closer than four points behind the Blues when they take on Sunderland tomorrow, though if they drop any points this essentially becomes a two team title chace.
At this point, Jose Mourinho's biggest concern has to be City, and hoping they drop as many points as possible is key to our challenge. Luckily, they still have matches against both Arsenal and Liverpool, but it's hard to picture Chelsea winning the Premier League at this point without winning all seven remaining fixtures.
