Samuel Eto'o hopes to play against PSG, but isn't sure if he'll be ready

Hopefully he'll be healthy soon

About the only bad thing that happened in Saturday's 6-0 thrashing of Arsenal was an early injury suffered by Samuel Eto'o. The Cameroonian opened the scoring and was on the pitch for the second, but came up injured before Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's goalkeeper audition that put the game to bed.

Eto'o doesn't think the injury is too serious, but it sounds as if he's not sure whether or not he'll be fit in time for our next Champions League tie. Here's what he had to say to a French television station when speaking about our next European opponent:

"I always dreamed of playing at Parc des Princes. Unfortunately, my injury may not allow me to be there. Can I get fit enough? Time will tell. I can't say anything but I will work to be there."

Obviously, I think most of us would be hoping that Eto'o is healthy sooner, rather than later. We'll probably be fine if he's not fit in time for our first leg against PSG, as Jose Mourinho is likely to set up somewhat conservatively in that one anyway. While seeing Fernando Torres isn't anything to get overly excited about, it hasn't been overly depressing of late either. Regardless, get well as soon as humanly possible Samuel. It's been nice having a striker that puts the ball on target more often than not.
