Although Middlesbrough haven't exactly been a free-scoring force in the Championship following Aitor Karanka's appointment as manager, their defensive record has been rather more impressive. Part of that success has been down to Kenneth Omeruo, who's now made seven starts for the club following his January loan. Their defensive record in those seven games? Five clean sheets and four goals conceded (two of which happened in injury time on Saturday).
Safe to say that the young centre back is pretty happy with how things are going:
Am so happy with the form am in right now.. coming to Boro was the best decision. thanks to chelsea fc and thanks to my boro fans…

Leaving his great performances aside, it's also nice to see a young player praise the club for allowing them to go out on loan. With questions about the future of so many loanees, Omeruo's public praise of the way Chelsea are handling his development is very welcome indeed. Hopefully he can keep up the good work (and the good mood) for the rest of the season.
