Aston Villa vs. Chelsea: Second Half Thread

Chris Brunskill

Another scoreless first half then for Chelsea.  Just to keep things interesting.

Not that we have been terribly bad, but perhaps lacking that final thrust needed to get through the Villa backline.  Fernando Torres isn't helping with his fetish for dribbling.  At least Oscar looks a bit more on form.  Through balls behind the full backs and even through the middle have been there however and can be easily taken advantage of in the second half.

For a second it looked like Nemanja Matic got his first goal for the club, but on replay, the ball bounced off a combination of his bicep and chest.  Correct call, I suppose, one of the few from the officiating crew.

So, it's time for another second half goal-explosion, yes?
