Happy national revolution day to you and yours! Today is the 166th anniversary of the start of the Hungarian Revolution, the day my ancestors - inspired by similar events in French and German states - rose up against the Hapsburgs and won their independence, albeit briefly. It's a big day in Hungary; in my far away home I observe by pinning a traditional "kokárda" to my shirt.
