Public Service Announcement: The 'beautiful young eggs' have hatched

Back in September, something historic happened at Stamford Bridge.  Now some might tell you that history and Stamford Bridge do not go together, but on that memorable autumn night, they did just that.  Unfortunately, Basel's 2-1 win was memorable for all the wrong reasons.

In his post-match comments that day, Jose Mourinho reminded us that while we may be back in the business of buying Waitrose eggs, those eggs were not quite ready to hatch just yet.

"Beautiful young eggs. Eggs that need a mum, in this case a dad, to take care of them, to keep them warm during the winter, to bring the blanket and to work and improve them. One day they will arrive in the moment where the weather changes, the sun rises, you break the eggs and the eggs are ready to go to the top level."

Well, winter may still be here, but it seems that the eggs have hatched.  Somewhere on the M1, about halfway to Manchester, the eggs have hatched.  And you're not going to believe this, but they hatched into tiny little horsies!  Aww, cute!

Of course, they still have some growing up to do.

Which means that all along, the Waitrose eggs were actually rare, precious seahorse eggs.  Raised by Daddy!
