It's only been a month and five matches, but the Ryan Bertrand - Aston Villa love affair has quickly escalated to hot-'n'-heavy levels.
The Chelsea left back's decision to wear claret and blue for the rest of the season was a bit of a surprise at the time, but made plenty of sense after Ryan revealed his ambition to not allow his career to stagnate. And with an outside shot at a spot in the England World Cup squad, a move to ensure playing time was entirely sensible.
Unlike some of our other Premier League loans, this one has worked out quite well so far.
"It's gone very well since I joined."
"The manager, the coaching staff and everyone attached to the club have been really warm and welcoming and it's been really easy to settle in. The lads have made me feel welcome off the field and that makes it ever so much easy to settle into my game on the pitch too."
"It's a young and hungry squad and that works in our favour because I have seen that the team spirit has been fantastic since the day I walked in."
"It's a very warm experience here. The fans have been fantastic with me as well."

Ryan loves Villa and Villa love Scott Baio Ryan. As does manager Paul Lambert. Awww.
"With [Benteke, Delph, Westwood, Agbonlahor and] the rest of the players and seeing how comfortable they are on the ball, I think it can only lead to a better future."

Reading between the lines, it sure sounds like Bertrand is wooing Paul Lambert and the Villa brass for a permanent job come the summer. For a decent transfer fee, I don't think it'd be unreasonable to give our blessings to that union, despite the 24-year-old still having over three years left on his Chelsea contract.
