It's been a bit of a rough start to the season for Chelsea's Marco van Ginkel, who is on loan for the year at AC Milan. He wasn't getting much time on the pitch, and then suffered an injury that put him out of action for a little bit.
Van Ginkel was healthy enough to make his first start over the weekend though, in a 2-0 victory over Udinese. The youngster played very well, and had the following to to say about his performance and his role with the team:
"I was happy with my performance. It was a bit frustrating when I wasn’t playing. I did good things, but the important thing is that the team got back to winning ways."
"We needed the three points and it was a good game for me and the team. I’m happy when I play. I’m a box-to-box midfielder who can both attack and defend."
We're all happy when you play too, Marco, and it's good to see you back on the pitch and playing well. Keep up the good work, and don't listen to any shooting tips from Fernando Torres.
